About measurement scales

The measurement scale of a variable indicates how the observations for a variable were measured and subsequently determines what analysis can be performed on the variable. The measurement scale also affects how Analyse-it reads and interprets the data from your Excel worksheet.

Analyse-it distinguishes between three measurement scales: continuous (ratio or interval scale), nominal and ordinal.
