Collating reports

Analysis reports can be moved between workbooks like any other Excel worksheet. To enable reports to be updated at a later date, Analyse-it stores a link from the report to the workbook containing the dataset. Because such links are fragile we recommend keeping, or collating, reports in the same workbook as the dataset. That way the link between reports and the dataset will not be broken if files are moved on disk.

EVALUATION  If you are using the free trial of Analyse-it you cannot move a report from the Unfiled reports workbook. You will need to buy a licence to move your own reports.

To collate a report to the same workbook containing the dataset:

  1. Activate the report to move.
  2. Click Collate on the Analyse-it tab/toolbar.
  3. If the dataset is in another workbook Analyse-it will first open it, then move the report into the same workbook.
