Kurtosis

Kurtosis indicates the peakedness of the distribution of the sample. A value of zero indicates the peakedness is normal, a positive value indicates the peak of the distribution is higher than normal (more observations clustered around the mean and less in the tails than normal), and a negative value indicates the peak of the distribution is lower or squatter than normal (more observations in the tails and less around the mean than normal).
